The government has announced a four day holiday for Eid Al Adha. Offices will close for the public sector on Thursday 30 July and will reopen on Monday 3 August.

Eid el Fitr took place in May this year, celebrating the end of Ramadan. 

The next public holiday set to be celebrated in the UAE will be Hijri (Islamic New Year), which will take place on the 23 August 2020.

Here’s a list of all remaining public holidays for the year so you know what to look out for:
Hijri New Year: August 19 or 20
Prophet’s Birthday: October 28 or 29
Martyr’s Day: December 1
UAE National Day: December 2 and 3
Christmas Day: December 25
New Year’s Day: January 1, 2021
