A member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences has predicted that Eid Al Adha 2020 will fall on Friday, July 31. The celebrations will see a four-day holiday, which is likely to run until Sunday, August 2.

"The crescent of the lunar month of Zul Hijjah 1441 may be spotted on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 9:33pm - UAE time," astronomer Ibrahim Al Jarwan said.

Eid el Fitr took place in May this year, celebrating the end of Ramadan. 

Here’s a list of all remaining public holidays for the year so you know what to look out for:
Hijri New Year: August 19 or 20
Prophet’s Birthday: October 28 or 29
Martyr’s Day: December 1
UAE National Day: December 2 and 3
Christmas Day: December 25
New Year’s Day: January 1, 2021
