Dubai is known for doing everyday things in quite the glamorous way. If someone builds a skyscraper, they build the tallest building in the world. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise when we tell you that same beautiful building is taking part in a an amazing initiative for charity.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), in collaboration with Burj Khalifa, launched the World’s Tallest Donation Box to illuminate the iconic skyscraper’s 1.2 million lights. Which basically means, the public can light up Burj Khalifa for Dhs10 to donate meals for coronavirus-affected communities in UAE.

For every light purchased through the website, one meal is provided to someone in need, as part of the UAE’s social efforts to support it's community and make sure that everyone is well taken care of. The goal is to ultimately serve 1.2 million meals to those most in need.

The best part about this project is that anyone can donate!
