To honour International Dog Day that just passed, we decided to take a second out of our fun-lovin’ lives to write a little note to the cat people of the world. If you’re one of those people out there who thinks cats are better than dogs, you might want to have a look over this non-exhaustive list of reasons why you’ve been living a lie.

Oh and, before you get the wrong idea, it’s not that we think cat people are bad people AT ALL. They’re not just as good as dog people. Soz, but sometimes the truth hurts.

1. Dog people know that sometimes you just need to hug it out, even if they’re not really in the mood for a hug. Jks, dog people are always down for hugs.

2. They are not afraid to show their love and affection, which is unconditional FYI.

3. Ah, because there’s no such thing as a ‘crazy dog lady’. Nuf said.

3. Or ‘guide cats’ for that matter. Yup, us canine folk recognise that dogs literally make people’s lives better every day. Unlike ungrateful cat lovers…

4. Dog people are always there when you need them. They don’t just eff off and leave you FOR DEAD when they’ve got what they wanted. *cough* Cats are USERS *cough*

5. FACT: Justin Bieber, Zac Efron, Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum, Zayn Malik and Adam Levine are dog people. And they can’t all be wrong. 

6. Cat peeps call puppies ‘gross’ or ‘dirty’ and dog lovers understand that nobody should be able to talk about our puppers that way and get away with it.

7. In our world, fetch really did ‘happen’. And keeps on happening, like erryday.

8. Dog people are more extrovert and down to have a good time.

9. Cat lovers are sassy AF and ain’t nobody got time for that.

10. Dog people are patient beings, who understand tolerance. Exhibit A: Waiting for your dog to take a dump so that you can just pick it up afterwards.

11. We treat our dogs like frekkin’ ROYALTY ’cause we know they deserve nothing less.

12. When cat people get into a fight they get all feisty and shiz (hence, ‘cat fight’), but dog people take the moral high ground and remove themselves from the situation ’cause they don’t wanna hurt your feelings.

13. Dog people also normally have dogs. So there’s that too.

So now we’ve finally put that issue to rest we want you cat peeps to know, it’s never too late to jump ship, ’cause we’re forgiving like that.
