Like most of you, we’re major Uber addicts (clean cars that don’t smell like a million passengers’ BO? Win!), but the one downfall has been that you can’t pre-book them – until now.

The new Scheduled Rides feature allows riders to pre-book their Uber trip anytime from 15 minutes to 30 days in advance of a journey; even if it’s for a 4am ride to the airport.

When riders are in an area where the feature is available, the ‘Schedule a Ride’ button will appear on the app and a nearby driver will pick up the request when it is almost time for your journey.

How it works:

●      Select UberSELECT and tap “Schedule a Ride.”

●      Set your pickup date, time, location and destination.

●      Confirm the details of your upcoming trip and tap “Schedule UberSELECT.” You can cancel at any time before your ride is on the way to avoid a cancellation fee.

●      Uber will send you reminders both 24 hours and 30 minutes in advance of your pickup. You’ll also be notified once your ride is on its way, as well as whether surge pricing applies.
