It wasn’t fun coming back to the office post that glorious stretch of Eid al-Adha down time. Call me greedy but I kinda want more, more, more of where that came from. And, what do you know, digging for some public holiday gold really got me the post-long weekend pick-me-up I so badly needed: there’s plenty of days off to look forward to that don’t fall on a Friday or Saturday (nothing worse than that in vacay land).
While it’s not the three days of magic we got spoiled with in August, a whole 24 hours of holiday bliss bang in the middle of the week sounds pretty good rn. Either Tuesday, September 11 or Wednesday, September 12 (depending on when the moon sighting takes place) will be off for the private sector because of the Islamic New Year (Al Hijri). But good news for you public sector peeps ! It’s been announced that the government sector will enjoy a day off on September 13 (Thursday). That’s a long weekend to look forward to next week. Yay !
