Ladies, pace yourself because the mega-hottie that is Ryan Reynolds is coming to our shores. More specially, the 41-year-old will be in Abu Dhabi filming scenes to his latest blockbuster 6 Underground.
Just give us a minute *screams*
Ok, we’re a bit calmer now.
While we’re not too sure where in Abu Dhabi he will be filming exactly, The National have stated that the “location scouts for the movie are currently in Abu Dhabi, finalising where Bay can best shoot a robot exploding over a sand dune”.
We are SO excited!
While we patiently wait for more details (we’ll keep you updated when more is announced obviously), here’s a bit more info on the movie.
- The film will be directed by Michael Bay. Yes, the man behind Transformers and Armageddon.
- With a budget of around AED460 million (US$120 million), it will be the most expensive Netflix film ever made.
- Rami Malik (Bohemian Rhapsody, Mr. Robot), Dave Franco (Nerve, Now You See Me) and French actress Mélanie Laurent (Now You See Me, Enemy) also star in the film.
- Ryan Reynolds and Michael Bay are expected to be in Abu Dhabi for up to SIX months.
- Right, we’re off to scout the area in the hopes of finding the Deadpool lead.
