Dubai might be famous for its adrenaline activities (sky dinner, anyone?) and luxe times infinity any activity (yes, I’m talking yacht Pilates), but sometimes a girl just needs to touch some grass. “Touching grass” started as internet slang for logging off, but it’s evolved into a genuine cultural reset. Today, all the girls are literally touching grass to counteract brain rot. The mental health benefits of exposure to green spaces lower anxiety, sharpen focus, and remind us there’s a world to be present in.

Whether you’re spiralling from too much screen time or just need a break from the concrete jungle, we’ve got you covered. These are the spots where you can indulge in some therapeutic grass-touching sessions.

Al Barsha Pond Park

This Al Barsha beauty is giving major community favourite energy, and for good reason. There’s a 1.5km track for your hot girl walks, kids’ cycling areas, bike rental, fitness machines, courts, and play areas. The spacious gardens are chef’s kiss, there’s actual parking (a Dubai miracle), and when the sun goes down, floodlights transform it into the perfect spot for a zen evening vibe.

Media City Park

Firstly, there is a massive lake with a fountain shooting water nine metres into the air! There’s a path around the lake scattered with benches for when you need to sit and stare dramatically into the distance. The green space is the go-to for Media City workers escaping their desks at lunch.

Dubai Harbour – Garden area

Still a work in progress, but there are already patches of grass ready for your picnic blanket. Post grass-touching, you’re a quick walk from Delizie Caffè Gourmet or L’Amo Bistrò del Mare for brunch, or you can simply post up and yacht-watch like the main character you are. Word is they’re planning a jogging and cycling track all the way to Palm Jumeirah (manifesting it happens soon).

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR)

The Promenade: The 650-metre stretch at “The Beach” comes with grass play areas and amphitheatres with tiered seating at both ends. Perfect for lounging with besties or pretending you’re in a music video.

Marina Beach: The cosy green lawn here is the spot for seaside chilling, complete with Ain Dubai Ferris wheel views. Bring a book, bring a friend, bring yourself, and ofc bring the vibesss. P.S. you may be pulled into a workout session because there are always activations happening in the area!

Dubai Miracle Garden

The world’s largest natural flower garden is basically IRL Instagram heaven. You’ll need a ticket (Dhs100 for adults, Dhs85 for kids aged three to 12, free for tiny humans under three, Dhs40 for people of determination). The Butterfly Garden houses 15,000 butterflies in ten custom domes (imagine the content), and the new Smurfs Village is giving nostalgic fantasy realness across four immersive zones.

Bonus: Marsa Boulevard

Okay, so not technically grass, but walking through here absolutely counts as touching grass in spirit. This seasonal hotspot serves sunset hangs, late-night munchies, food pop-ups, fashion moments, live performances, and always happening activations for the culture. Hit up Home Bakery, Lost in Tokyo, Mara Lounge, or Blu Pizzeriá, then swing by Studio 152 for fashion events and creative workshops. Between the art installations, high-energy performances, and acoustic sessions on the promenade, you’ll forget you ever knew what doomscrolling was.

More IRL activities to do in Dubai this December this way. <3
