If you are in a competitive spirit or possibly looking to bond with your corporate team (we def. are), Spartan race may have your name on it. UAE’s Spartan City race is taking place at Etihad Arena, Yas Bay Waterfront on September 20th.
The ‘City’ race format is made for first timers or returning Spartans. Adult participants (age 14+) can take on a 3 km course featuring 15 signature Spartan obstacles. Younger athletes will also have the chance to compete in dedicated Spartan Kids races with a 1-3 km Kids Course. The race will be indoors, but also have a small outdoor segment.
And the finish line will have rewards, of course. All finishers will walk away with a well-earned Spartan T-shirt and medal, along with a banana to refuel.
Spartan Middle East had 5,500 people attend its most recent event at The Arena, Bab Al Shams, and over 6,000 came along to January’s inaugural Trifecta weekend at Dubai Parks and Resorts. Spartan will also return with the Abu Dhabi World Championship, taking place from November 20th-23rd at Al Wathba.
