Riot Games are launching its new dedicated servers in the Middle East, based in Bahrain, today for the game of the year, Valorant. The services will go live today, the 14th October, and will allow players to benefit from ‘a lower ping and smoother in-game experiences’.

There will be Arabic language support available for Valorant gamers all across the world, ‘welcoming the MENA region into the Valorant global community’. Plus, Riot Games will be giving all players around the world a special in-game gift to commemorate this day.

The regional launch for Valorant has attracted a *lot* of attention in the region since it’s major worldwide launch back in June 2020. Coinciding with the new launch, Episode 1 of Act 3 will go live where gamers can find a number of brand new features, following in from the conclusion of Act 2. It includes the launch of a new map, Icebox, and a new agent, Skye.

Riot Games is aiming to make Valorant ‘the most popular first-person shooter in the region’. Ali Muslumanoglu, General Manager of Riot Games MENAI, said “in the space of just four months of Valorant launching worldwide, we have seen an incredible number of gamers across the MENA region embrace Valorant’.

There’s also big gaming news still on the horizon too, with Riot Games planning to announce the first official regional esports tournament ‘First Strike’ to be held in November. There is also an episodic series of useful tutorials and localised efforts featuring Arabic artists on the way too. Watch this space…
