When it comes to steak restaurant’s the criteria is simple – the meat must be fabulous, the fire it’s cooked on roasting and the accompaniments offering the icing on the cake. Not every restaurant in Dubai can do a perfectly pink medium rare or make a mushroom sauce with the correct consistency but it’s fair to say this city has a lot of specialists when it comes to steak. We did some digging into the meat market to make sure you’ll never sit through a sub-standard steak again – here are some of our favourites.

Brasserie Du Park, Park Hyatt Dubai

Offering panoramic views of the Creek, the newly revamped Brasserie du Park (formerly Traiter) does modern French food well offering a variety of brasserie-style dishes ideal for sharing over casual conversations. The menu might be short but that does not mean it ain’t mighty – think Foie Gras with fig chutney, sizzling hot rib eye steaks and a Lobster Thermador worthy of a medal. Winters were meant to be enjoyed on their terrace with a drink in hand, steak on plate and the glory of new Dubai straight ahead.
