School is well and truly in session!
The second season of AlRawabi School for Girls has dropped on Netflix and we (along with the rest of the world) are *obsessed*. After nearly three years of waiting for season 2, we wonder if there’ll be a third instalment.

What is AlRawabi School for Girls about?
AlRawabi School for Girls was first released on August 12th of 2021 and let us tell you, it was a *hit*. The groundbreaking series – co-created and co-produced by Tima Shomali and Shirin Kamal in collaboration with writer and executive producer Islam Alshomali – delved into the many challenges faced by young women throughout high school, introducing taboo topics which Netflix MENA hadn’t previously explored.
The Arabic drama centres around a prestigious girls’ school in Jordan. In the first series, we meet Mariam, bullied by her classmates, causing her and her friends to plot a risky revenge plan against her tormentors.
In the long-awaited second season, we meet social-media-obsessed Sarah who is desperate to climb the social ladder. But, her plans of rising to popularity soon backfires. Ouch.

Season two brought in a host of new characters and storylines (read some juicy deets about them here)! And perhaps we can expect the same from a third season.

When is AlRawabi School for Girls season 3?
AlRawabi School for Girls has not yet been renewed for a third season. But, considering the show’s success, we don’t think we’ll be waiting much longer for the big announcement. Fingers crossed!
There’s a good chance that Netflix will want to return to the Jordanian all-girls school for another term at least. Season 1 dropped in early 2021, while Season 2 debuted on the streaming platform on February 15, 2024. Can we assume that a third season will be heading our way this time next year? We sure hope so!
