Obvi, we’ve been waiting ever so patiently for the first episode of Season 2 to finally drop – and the good news is, it’s sooner than we think!
Netflix MENA has confirmed that Season 2 will premiere on February 15th!
AlRawabi School for Girls was first released on August 12th of 2021 and let us tell you, it was a *hit*. The groundbreaking series – co-created and co-produced by Tima Shomali and Shirin Kamal in collaboration with writer and executive producer Islam Alshomali – delved into the many challenges faced by young women throughout high school, introducing taboo topics which Netflix MENA hadn’t previously explored.
Everyone was invested in the lives of these girls, because hey, we all somewhat see ourselves in them. So we were *super* excited to jump back into the world of AlRawabi School for Girls for a second season (!!)

AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2: Everything we know so far
New cast members:
A new season inevitably means that a new school year has commenced, and a new school year means new students, which means ~brand new~ cast members (!!). Indeed, the entire star-studded cast has been revamped, in such a way that not a single OG cast member – whether it be Mariam played by Andria Tayeh, Layan played by Noor Taher, or Dina portrayed by Yara Mustafa – has been recast in Season 2.

The cryptic IG photo posted by Tima appears to be a yearbook photo which features several newcomers and cast members – nine, to be exact. Tima ensured to cover the faces of said potential cast members with strategically chosen emojis – so although we aren’t able to confirm their identities, we are granted sufficient insight into their respective personalities. A true tease!

With quotes like “weirdoooooo,” “ME OR NOBODY,” and “I can’t stand anybody, not even myself” plastered over the yearbook photo, we seriously cannot wait to unlock the new AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2 characters.
The plot thickens…
We all vividly remember that the first season of AlRawabi School for Girls ended with a bang (quite literally). From sweet ~sweet~ revenge to its dire consequences, the season finale truly had us all in shock.
According to The National, Director Tima Shomali stated that in “season two, you are going to see some surprises. We have some interesting aspects we’re exploring in the next season and there are new grounds that we’re breaking.” More groundbreaking surprises? Sign us up.
Additionally, Tima expressed that season 2 would most likely not be the final season of AlRawabi School for Girls, sharing, “the show has the potential to go on for several seasons.” Say no more, Tima. We’ve already marked our calendars.

The show’s fictional Administration Office released a suspenseful statement to the student body ahead of the new school year on May 18, 2022.

Don’t mind us, we’ll just be enrolling ~effective immediately~.
