Rapper Travis Scott is set to perform this Sunday at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, as revealed by the Billboard Music Awards on all their social media accounts. This will be his first TV appearance since the Astroworld tragedy back in November where 10 fans passed away and thousands were left injured. The performance will be televised and is to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Although he did have his first-ever public-venue performance since the devastating incident at a nightclub in Miami on Saturday, May 7th in celebration of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, this performance for the Billboard Music Awards will officially mark his comeback to the stage.

Travis Scott has publicly stated that he has taken this time off to reflect upon the tragedy and is making changes for the better. He has been focusing on his family life and being a present father in his kids’ lives, especially after the recent birth of his newborn son. The rapper also launched his safety project and multi-tier initiative HEAL back in March in response to the Atroworld tragedy.

Despite being removed from the 2022 Coachella headliners and canceling a couple of shows, the rapper has a few more big shows coming up later this year. He is scheduled to perform at the Primavera Sound music festival in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, as well as various other concerts worldwide.
