Whilst Queen Elizabeth was photographed at Buckingham Palace wearing gloves in order to protect herself from coronavirus, Prince Charles has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 71-year-old heir to the British throne’s office said in a statement, “He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual.”

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” they added.

Both Prince Charles and his wife Camilla have been self-isolating at Balmoral Estate in Scotland.

19-year-old Charlotte Lawrence, Idris Elba and Tom Hanks are amongst the other celebrities who have tested positive for the virus.
