Lebanese sensation Nancy Ajram is partaking in an Indian COVID-19 post-relief fundraiser with the likes of celebrities like Ed Sheeran, Mick Jagger and A.R. Rahman.

The fundraiser aims to raise $3.5million towards an organization called GiveIndia which strives to provide humanitarian aid and medical equipment to mitigate the damage COVID has cost to the country. Funds will also be used to support vaccination centers in India.

UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Nancy Ajram, alongside the other pop sensations, are set to raise these funds on the 15th of August, which is India’s Independence Day.

‘We for India: Saving Lives, Protecting Livelihoods’ aims to support post-COVID-19 goals and provide relief to those families that have been hit hardest by the pandemic.

Conceptualized by ‘The World We Want’ and produced in partnership with Reliance Entertainment, the event will be streamed live on Facebook on the 15th of August at 6 pm GST. If you decide to join, you will be able to donate in real-time!

All the donations from the event will be sent to GiveIndia, a not-for-profit organization that provides oxygen supply to COVID-19 patients in India.

The long-term economic fallout for families has been major for those in India, so let’s do our part to donate, regardless of the amount, and give back to society.
