The 2020 American Music Awards went on last night and many of your favourite artists were there serrrrving *lewks* (yes, we’re discussing JLO’s unreal performance and bedazzled crystal outfit.) But, one of our preferred moments has to go to Megan thee Stallion’s powerful AMA’s speech. 

The up-and-coming female rapper performed her single “Body” for the first time live and wowed everyone. From the impressive dance, to the several nominations she earned at the awards ceremony. 

Pre-perfoming, a speech that the rapper made about body positivity played, saying “I love my body. Every curve. Every inch. Every mark. Every dimple. It’s decoration on my temple. My body is mine, and nobody owns it but me. You may not think my body is perfect, and it probably never will be. But when I look in the mirror, I love what I see. So are you ready?” 

It’s safe to say that no – we weren’t ready for the absolute way she bodied that performance with her new hit single. 

Naturally, her fans were also living for her performance and speech…
