Believe it or not, this Matty Healy and Taylor Swift drama is still going on.

Long-standing ~swifties~ surely remember Taylor Swift’s stance on moving on after a breakup: “You don’t have to forgive and you don’t have to forget. You can move on without any of those things happening. You just become indifferent, and then you move on.” Ouch. But does Matty Healy, her (very, very briefly…) former boo, share the same *icy* opinion, or does he burn to mend what is broken?

Let’s discuss the (allegedly) most recent *tea* between Taylor Swift and Matty Healy…

On 7th of June, whilst performing a cover of Leon Russell’s “A Song For You” alongside his The 1975 bandmates in Dublin, Matty Healy spray-painted the word “SORRY” against a white backdrop. He then added a question mark, blurring the lines of his message. Um….someone explain?

Fans quickly linked the *questionable* apology to Matty’s recent breakup, wondering if his expression of regret was addressed to ~Miss Swift~.

~The boys~

His alleged apology is all the more debatable considering the fact that during another The 1975 show in Vienna, Matty announced to the crowd, “[Fans at] the front had some very beautiful signs that said ‘You are loved.’ That was very, very kind of you, and I’m sure that it’s alluding to… ” (the breakup).

Matty continued, “As you’re aware, I’m not very online at the moment…but what I have been with is with my boys and honestly as much as I appreciate that, it’s so beautiful, and I thank you, but…I don’t need it ’cause I’ve got them.”

Of course, Matty was referring to his long-time bandmates and friends, drummer George Daniel, bassist Ross MacDonald, and guitarist Adam Hann. ~The boys~ have been best friends since teenage-hood, practically growing up together. The quartet is currently touring Europe to promote their new album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language. Honestly, we find the healthy brotherhood ~heartwarming~.

Karma?

Another possibility is that Matty intends to atone for the offensive comments he made about rapper Ice Spice during that infamous podcast episode. Taylor Swift herself has tried to do some damage control by featuring Ice Spice on her song “Karma,” released in a deluxe version of her album “Midnights.”

The ~exquisite bop~ is her first song to feature a female rapper, but listeners are accusing Taylor Swift of “performance activism” and an attempt to cover up for Matty’s insensitive comments.

So… between the breakup, the questionable apologies, the bromance, the third party, and the accusations… this Taylor-Matty sich has become a ~living entity~ of its own!

At least we get to listen to some fantastic tunes!
