ICYMI, Kylie Jenner has been getting some serious heat over social media for posting an Instagram story asking followers to donate to a make-up artists’ GoFundMe page and making a donation of five thousand dollars (approx Dhs18,000) herself.

Folks found the amount ~miniscule~ and had things to say. Well, in a not-so-surprising turn of events. Kylie had things to say back.

Finally addressing the swarms of things being said about her across social media, she uploaded an Instagram story “to clear up the false narrative.”

Kylie explained her side of the story, stating that the initial goal of the GoFundMe was $10 thousand (approx Dhs36,000) and that when she donated to it, they were already more than halfway to their goal, thus resulting in her donation of five thousand dollars (approx Dhs18,000) to reach the end goal.

However, that quickly backfired on her when the goal was increased and it seemed as though Kylie was being ‘stingy’ with her money, which was never her intention at all.

She shared an additional story reiterating that anyone who knows her personally will vouch for her ability to be as helpful as she can be.

The GoFundMe has reached $100,031 (approx Dhs367,410) of its $120 thousand (approx Dhs440,000) goal. I don’t know about y’all, but Kylie seems pretty sincere to me. Here’s to seeing the good in people and giving them the benefit of the doubt.
