It's no doubt that the world is currently hurting right now; faced with a global pandemic and a powerful movement fighting institutions plagued with injustices.

Brands and celebrities continue to use their platform to spread love and raise awareness, whether it's through taking actions or self-reflecting, and we have seen Huda Beauty at the forefront of all this, empowering entrepreneurs, participating in giveaways and donating to fans.

The brand's latest collaboration with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières had special reasons behind it. "Doctors Without Borders is an organisation that has always been near and dear to the hearts of my family. We think that the work that they do is so incredible and the thing that stands out to us the most is that fact they specifically target vulnerable groups of people around the world," Huda tells Cosmo.

Huda Beauty encouraged fans and customers to support the frontline medical staff fighting COVID-19 by making donations via the Huda Beauty website and the response they've gotten has been incredible. "It’s so beautiful to see our community coming together for a good cause, but I definitely think that there’s more that can be done. Doctors Without Borders is active in over 70 countries, which means that there are so many resources required to help treat those with and prevent the spread of COVID-19."

While the pandemic has affected Huda Beauty as a brand and personally (taking a 100 per cent pay cut), the beauty moguls do not let that affect their quest to give back. "We feel that it’s our responsibility to give back where we can. The work that MSF is doing around the world is so essential and we really want to support their continued efforts to help whenever there’s a major crisis around the world."

"We really love the work that Dubai Cares does, both here in the region and around the world. Right now, they’re working on an incredible initiative called Education Uninterrupted that’s focused on raising funds for UAE students from low-income households to be able to purchase computers so that they can continue their schooling from home while their schools are closed due to COVID-19," they added.

The beauty brand also joined forces with BeautyUnited to treat frontline workers to some beauty goodies. They were able to partner with a group of incredible beauty brands around the world through the BeautyUnited to send some of products to some frontline medical workers.
