It’s no doubt that Rihanna put in the “Work, work, work, work, work, work,”

I mean, will this be a Rihanna net-worth story if I didn’t use that lyric? Fr, when she sang “I call the shots shots shots” in BBHMM, sis wasn’t lying.

You might be wondering why Rih was categorised as a British artist, but here’s the tea. In 2019, Rihanna moved to London to focus on (love and) her emerging fashion brand, Fenty, meaning she qualifies to be ranked amongst British artists.

In the annual The Sunday Times Rich List of Britain’s wealthiest musicians, Rih ranked number three on the list with an estimated wealth of £468m (Dhs2 billion) so far in 2020. Shall we take a look at her streams of revenue?

FENTY

After launching her self-named brand, Fenty, in collaboration with powerhouse LVMH, Rihanna created  FENTY, the luxury clothing brand, and Fenty Beauty. It’s not news that Rihanna is killing the beauty game. Fenty Beauty has produced everything, from lipgloss to a 40 shade-range foundation – name it, they have it all. After only 15 months in business, Fenty Beauty generated an estimate of an estimated $570 million (Dhs2 billion) in revenue.

Altogether, the brand is valued at £3billion (Dhs13 billion), and The Work singer’s reported stake of 15% is presumed to worth somewhere around £351.6 million (Dhs1 billion). (According to Forbes, a figure her representative denied but wouldn’t clarify.)

SAVAGE X FENTY

Ri-ri also co-owns the Savage X Fenty lingerie line, which she obvs makes a killing from. In an interview with New York Times, Rihanna had a lot to say about being filthy rich, “I never thought I’d make this much money, so a number is not going to stop me from working… My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else or, in the future, for if I have kids.”

Errr, not quite done yet.

MUSIC

Rihanna has a catalogue of eight fire albums, she’s managed to sell 60 million albums and 216 million digital tracks. According to Business Insider, circa 2016, she reportedly earned $22.3 million (Dhs81 million) from music alone. In addition to this crazy numbers, Rih makes a lot of money from her tours, she’s a part-owner of Tidal, she also owns several real estate properties.

Must be real good.

I’m sorry does this make you feel not-so-rich?? Yeah, same. What do you say, we console ourselves by learning new dances and sharing beauty hacks on TikTok? That’s all we have.
