Last night the People’s Choice Awards took place and your fave celebs graced the red carpet in their finest fits (click here to check that out.) Demi Lovato hosted the awards ceremony, and if you’re wondering, yes, she *did* mention her ex Max Ehrich. 

Demi’s monologue started off by looking back at this year and reminiscing about her iconic Super Bowl performance, then she began joking about her quarantine engagement. “This year has been the longest three years of my life. Don’t get me wrong, it started out amazing. I performed at the Grammys and sung the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. But then COVID hit and everything shut down, so I did what everyone else did. I went into lockdown mode. And got engaged.”

“I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got un-engaged, and went looking for aliens in the desert so basically the same as everyone else.”

Incase you haven’t heard about one of the messiest celeb break-ups of the year, chart-topping singer Demi and her ex-beau Max Ehrich were smitten during quarantine to the point where they got engaged. It was only about a month ago when the couple broke things off because Lovato stans found some dirt on Max, and Demi even released a break-up song. 

Let’s not forget those pap pictures of Max, who’s an actor, crying on the beach post-break-up. It was all suuuper dramatic. 

But at least Demi can look back and laugh about it now!
