There has been some major shockers coming out of the Selling Sunset cast over the last few weeks, with Jason opening up about regretting taking part in the show, and Christine confirming that Brett has left The Oppenheim Group. But drama is never far behind this group of glossy haired brokers and the latest goss comes courtesy of Davina Portratz.
Davina received quite a bit of backlash from viewers regarding how she and Christine treated Chrishell during her divorce proceedings, with her being less than supportive. In series three episode seven of the show Davina says “Mary and Amanza are die-hard Chrishell, and that’s fine. I would love to support Chrishell. But I have met Justin before. Justin was nothing but a gentleman to me. He was kind and polite”, and then added “he has to have a side of the story”.
She has now spoke out about her regrets of the show and the way in which she is portrayed on screen. “I don’t regret the show” she told Cosmo UK, “but I wish a little more of my perspective was shown, and that viewers were introduced to me more – you don’t really know much about me”.
“On one hand, I didn’t want to share that much about my personal life out of respect to the people around me. But equally, there was a bit of feeling like I’d been thrown in at the deep end of the pool.”
Davina also added “I’m really sweet and funny and kind to people. And I don’t think you see much of that at all. You also don’t get to see the full context of a conversation on the show [so] people just assume things because they don’t know me”.
Davina has been subject to trolling and hateful comments on social media, to which she told Cosmo, “that’s one of the reasons Christine and I initially got so close – we both got a lot of hate early in season one, and we really brought us closer because nobody else truly understood. It was overwhelming”.
“[But I now] they’re judging me based on a show and that’s fine. I can’t take [the hate] seriously.”
