Bella Hadid just got super candid again about her mental-health struggles with an emotional post on Instagram, and honestly, we are so here for it.
On Tuesday, she shared a carousel of multiple close-up photos of herself crying alongside a heartfelt caption with an important message about the shared human experience of struggling with life. Along with the photos, Hadid shares a video of her fellow famous friend, Willow Smith, speaking candidly on her own insecurities and mental health issues.
Addressing Willow directly, Hadid writes in the caption: “I Love you and your words. It made me feel a little less alone and that’s why I’d like to post this.” After re-sharing Willow’s message, Bella got very vulnerable with her 47.2 million followers to share her personal story.
For anyone following the 25-year-old supermodel’s journey, they might be led to believe that Bella’s life is all glitz and glam. But she is quick to make it clear to “anyone struggling” that “social media is not real.” While recognizing that she has had her fair share of “breakdowns and burnouts” and a “flowing rollercoaster of obstacles,” she also shares an overarching message that “there is always light at the end of the tunnel.”
She finishes by saying that “it feels harder and harder to not share my truth on here.” However, time and time again, Hadid has used her *massive* platform to speak on several important social issues.
She’s even the Co-Founder, Partner, and COO of a brain care beverage focused on feeling and living well. In a few Instagram posts, she opens up about her “extreme depression and anxiety” which led her to this pretty incredible business endeavor:
Bella Hadid, if you’re reading this, we love you. Keep doing you boo.
