So while everyone was freaking out over all that Lil Nas X drama this week (let’s not get into it,) Ariana Grande took to Instagram yesterday to announce something huge. No, it’s not a new album unfortunately, but it is a huge step for Miss Ari’s career!

The 27-year-old songstress is next in line to judge on NBC’s famous show, The Voice. You’ve definitely heard about this musical competitive reality TV show before. Very similar to American Idol or X-Factor, The Voice includes four famous artists on a panel, judging aspiring singers who audition. Except they do it without seeing the contestants first. Ariana will be joining Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton, Carson Daly, and will be replacing Nick Jonas this season. Although (dw) he’ll be making a comeback.

Ari posted this adorable pic on her IG and captioned, “surprise !!! i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you.”

Apparently Ariana is a “huge fan of The Voice” and has said, “I’m so honored and excited to join The Voice family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists, and help to take their craft to the next level.”

It’s safe to say her fans (including us) are thrilled.
