TikTok star, now-turned-actress, Addison Rae, has just bagged the lead role of an upcoming teen rom-com – ‘He’s All That.’ The film is a remake of the 1999 hit movie we all know and love, ‘She’s All That,’ and it’s already been announced that it’s being directed by the filmmaker behind Mean Girls.
It’s safe to say, we’re *so* excited.
Addison’s character Padgett Sawyer, will be played alongside her love interest, Tanner Buchanan (Cameron Kweller.) And it’ll be the first time (ever) for the influencer to make her great debut in film.
She posted the news early in September with a lengthy caption about her dreams in the film industry, and how they’re coming true…
“AHHHHH!!! My dreams are coming true!!! I’m so excited to finally share the news that i am getting the opportunity to make my acting debut in HE’S ALL THAT which is a remake of one of my all time favorite movies, SHE’S ALL THAT.
I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me and none of it would have ever happened without every single one of you.
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!! I can’t wait for you to see it!!! I can’t wait to work with this amazing team and everyone involved in making the film and am so thankful to everyone who gave me this incredible opportunity. THANK YOU!! I’m so excited for y’all to meet Padgett!!!”
She also discussed how she’s prepping for the movie in her latest podcast episode of ‘Mama Knows Best.‘
When discussing learning lines, she said “it was intimidating at first because it was a lot lines, but I feel like I memorized it pretty easily…it just comes with listening to the other person…it’s not memorizing, it’s listening…If you think of it too much like memorizing every single line, then you never have like genuine reactions or anything because you’re just waiting for them to stop talking so you can, instead of responding like a normal conversation.”
Sounds like she’s ready for the *big screen* TBH.
