You know that one friend who always goes for a make-up, no make-up look? Yeah, well I think Selena Gomez is that friend and has taken matters into her own hands to redefine the true meaning of what a make-up no, make-up look – looks like.
Now I know what you are thinking, yet another celebrity make-up brand (uh) but let’s hold the assumptions for a second and give this beauty brand a try – I mean it *is* Selena Gomez. Rare Beauty is allegedly taking us back to the fundamentals of make-up, emphasising the idea of feeling good in make-up rather than hiding what makes you unique. Furthermore, highlighting the importance of mental health and striving to empower people to feel confident in their own skin!
After trying the Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in 270N, we realised the name truly says it all – its weightless, breathable and honestly has a skin-like finish.
When applying the foundation at first, it feels slippery and takes a couple of minutes to dry, but it leaves the skin looking flawless and seriously hydrated. This foundation is amazing for anyone who likes a minimal and lightweight look. Now the packaging, on the other hand, is all things chic and elegant.
It has a doe-foot applicator which is honestly the smoothest applicator we’ve laid our hands-on, it basically is the applicator we didn’t know we needed, but our girl Selena has hooked us up – so brownie points for you girl.
Now, before getting into the Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer – we would like to say that the applicator is also extremely life-changing. It applies the concealer in the smoothest way and blends like an absolute dream. We tried the concealer in shade 230N and noticed it provides medium coverage but can be built up depending on your coverage needs (which is ahh-mazing). What’s our favourite part you may ask? The fact that it instantly brightens your under eye and has a radiant finish.
I’m slowly starting to realise that Selena Gomez may be a mind reader because this concealer honestly is a miracle worker for those days when your dark circles just won’t leave you alone.
Overall, if you are looking for a full coverage look Rare Beauty, in all honesty, might not be your first choice. Still, there is real beauty behind the brand. It seems like the brand is creating its own path in this oversaturated beauty world, and we can’t support it enough. So, do yourself a favour and give this beauty brand a try because it truly deserves it.
You go, Selena, we support the natural, minimalistic vibes.
