Insane heat. Crazy humidity. Face masks. The Dubai summer fails the vibe check and triggers our skin into looking red and irritated AF. Luckily, we discovered facial globes. They calm our skin *and* nerves down. Curious? Keep reading, sis.
Aside from ice globes looking aesthetic asl (it’s the glitter for us), the skin-cooling massage hits different and put us in a whole ‘nother mood. The globes themselves are made of glass and inside is a sparkly concoction of… non-toxic and environmentally-friendly antifreeze formula. For best results, pop them in the fridge and let them chill overnight.
In the morning, add a little bit of your fav face oil or serum to your freshly cleansed skin (we like Sunday Riley’s CEO Glow). Hold the face globes by their stems and place them on the base of your chin. Glide them in an upwards motion towards your temples (for lymphatic drainage) and keep repeating this step until you’ve covered your entire cheek area. This gives us a lift to our face and helps reduce puffiness.
For the forehead, start at your eyebrows, glide up and then down to your temples. For your neck, glide down to your clavicle. You can repeat these steps as many times as you want. Aside from being an amazing skin-soothing massage, they also help to detoxify, minimize pores, and if you’re brave enough, set your makeup! What’s not to love!
