On Pinktober, countries around the world come together to extend their efforts, promote initiatives and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign aims to help women detect early signs of breast cancer and raise funds for breast cancer patients and families who have lost their loved ones to the disease.

Here are some of the brand initiatives currently taking place in the UAE:

Le Meridien Dubai

Le Meridien Dubai has launched new initiatives in partnership with Al Jalila Foundation, a not-for-profit organization founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

The hotel’s restaurant Gourmandise will be offering rich cakes and pastries at a special price and the Yalumba Brunch will unveil a new all-pink pastry buffet, a limited-edition pink drink, and a sparkling rosé menu. A portion of the proceeds will be going to Al Jalila Foundation for cancer research, awareness, and early detection.

Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa

This is for all the foodies! Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa is offering special brunches at Maya Mexican Kitchen + Bar and Brasserie 2.0. For each paying adult, Dhs25 will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation.

Procter & Gamble (P&G)

This Procter & Gamble (P&G) campaign is in collaboration with Al Zulekha Hospital and Choithrams. Pink It Now aims to help raise breast cancer awareness among women by advocating for early testing and screening as well as raise funds for research on its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure.

With every purchase of Dhs70 on P&G products such as Pampers, Tide, Ariel, and Herbal Essences at Choithrams outlets, you can gain access to a free breast cancer consultation and mammogram.

Grosvenor House Dubai

Grosvenor House Dubai is going all out for Pinktober. From delicious brunches to ladies’ night, this is your one-stop place. Help Al Jalila Foundation to raise funds by heading over to Grosvenor House Dubai’s in-house restaurants Buddha-Bar, Sloane’s, Toro Toro, Rhodes W1, and Siddharta Lounge to have a wonderful time while also donating to a noble cause.

In collaboration with Al Jalila Foundation, you can now directly donate via the Careem app to help raise awareness on breast cancer. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi

Marriott Hotel Al Forsan is giving you the opportunity to experience a unique Pink Suite. From towels to home decor*nearly* everything is pink-themed. The suite is exclusively available only for the month of October at a price of Dhs395, all the net room revenue proceeds go to Al Jalila Foundation’s ‘Brest Friends’ campaign, which supports breast cancer patients and survivors.

W Dubai – The Palm

To raise funds for #Pinktober, W Dubai – The Palm has rolled out a pink menu collection across its restaurants Torno Subito, SoBe, WET Deck, Akira Back, and W Lounge. Guests can also access upgraded massage services at AWAY Spa. A part of the proceeds earned will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation’s ‘Brest Friends’ initiative.

This gorgeous salon is hosting an educational talk on October 21st to cover all things self-care, health, and wellbeing. Couqley French Bistro & Bar has created a limited-edition dome-shaped Framboise-speculoos to mark the month of breast cancer awareness. All proceeds received from this *yum* dessert will be donated.

In partnership with Al-Jalila Foundation, a percentage of the proceeds received from the sale of a selected range of items will be donated for the cause. You can make a pit-stop to any of their 16 stores across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and RAK.

Carzaty, a growing used-car service brand, is selling 25 select cars to help raise funds for the cause – Dhs1,000 from the revenue will be set aside to help promote breast cancer awareness.

In collaboration with PrettyLittleThing, the two brands are raising awareness and funds for Al Jalila Foundation by hosting sessions every Tuesday at DIFC and Wednesday at Marina.

If you’re looking for laundry service, you may want to check out Washmen. Their Pink Bag initiative, where you can add items such as pillows, duvets, sheets, and towels in a pink bag. A part of the proceeds from the laundry charge will be going to Al Jalila Foundation.

Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is serving a pink-themed ‘Positively Pink Afternoon tea’ series for breast cancer awareness month. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation. You can attend the event anytime between 2 PM and 6 PM.

The Australian Business Council has partnered with BUPA Global and Al Zahra Hospital to host a health and wellness session on October 26th at the Address Hotel in Dubai Marina. The session will include yoga, breath works, and sound healing.
