Instagram has officially released a feature that allows every slide in a carousel to have its own caption. Each photo gets its own moments, its own line. Your travel dump can include a short monologue for each destination. Your OOTD carousel can feature a different thought for each fit.

Goodbye single captions
Previously, all slides in a carousel shared the same caption, limiting your ability to provide context or tell a story. Gone are the days of cramming every single thought into one box, separating them with a hundred line breaks, and praying your followers read all the way to slide six’s explanation. Your “a few frames” era is officially optional.
One toggle. That’s it.
When your building your carousel, just tap into the caption area and toggle between Single Caption and Multiple Captions. Select multiple, swipe through each slide, and write away. So simple!
Why we love this update
Every photo finally gets to breathe. No more context crammed into once caption. Each slide tells its own little story, in its own words, on its own terms. A European summer travel dump doesn’t have to just say “snippets of Europe” anymore, you can caption each photo, with each country, city, location, etc. And honestly? It just makes posting fun.
