Palestinian-Dutch supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid have announced they have donated $ 1million to support Palestinian relief efforts.

Bella’s representative mentioned that the donation will be split and shared among four humanitarian organizations.

These organizations focus on aiding children and families impacted by the conflict.

The four selected relief agencies are Heal Palestine, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, World Central Kitchen, and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

The Hadid sisters have continued to use their social media platforms to raise awareness, educate their audience, and push for positive changes.

Bella posted on IG in May while at the Cannes Film Festival, dressed in the Palestinian Kiffiiyeh dress by Micheal and Hushi, made in 2001. The traditional Kiffiiyeh symbolizes strength and resilience.

In her post, she said, “[This is] a beautiful way to represent history, a labour of love, resilience, and, most importantly, the art of historic Palestinian embroidery.”

As for Gigi, she took it on IG in October and said, “I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation; it’s a responsibility I hold daily.”
