It looks like the future has already arrived, as the Dubai RTA last week announced it had bought 200 Tesla cars… and they don’t need drivers!
The electric vehicles are fitted with ‘autonomous driving technology’, and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk was in Dubai this week to meet with His Excellency Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Cabinet Member and Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, at the 2017 World Government Summit at Madinat Jumeirah to discuss the innovation.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have revealed that the new electric vehicles will join the limousine fleet of the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC).Â
