ICYMI Zayn Malik fans are losing it on social media after the singer released a new song.

The former One Direction superstar has collaborated with Pakistani trio Aur on the remake of Tu Hai Kahan.

Marking Zayn’s entrance into the realm of South Asian music is a huge step toward bringing Urdu into the mainstream music scene as he boldly embraces his Pakistani identity in his art and uplifts artists from the region. 

“I was incredibly humbled when AUR reached out and asked me to collaborate on their song Tu Hai Kahan.  I love the song and have brought some of myself to it, I hope people love what we’ve done, ” the singer said.

“We’re taking Pakistani music global, and we can’t wait for the world to vibe to our music,” AUR added,

This is the second time the former boyband member has sung in Urdu, with the first being on track Tightrop from his 2021 debut solo album titled Nobody is Listening.

Fans are expressing overwhelming love for the remake, with one YouTube user saying “Zayn connecting with his Pakistani roots and collaborating with such young upcoming Pakistani artists is so lovely 🥰.”

Another added: “I was incredibly humbled when AUR reached out and asked me to collaborate on their song Tu Hai Kahan.  I love the song and have brought some of myself to it, I hope people love what we’ve done.”

A third penned: “The guys can change Pakistani music industry.”
