Egyptian neo-soul sensation Felukah, named ‘Arab-Futurist Songstress’ by Forbes, and Rolling Stone acclaimed Sudanese rapper Nadine El Roubi have joined forces to co-curate the ultimate Arab baddie duo playlist exclusively for Cosmopolitan Middle East.

This 26-track playlist is a testament to women empowerment, spotlighting collaborations from SZA, Summer Walker, Rihanna, Ice Spice, and the region’s very own Elyanna and Sevdaliza.

Nadine & Felukah boldly reject the confines of a ‘female rapper’ label. El Roubi’s confrontational track ‘Freestyles Pt. 1′ echoes with the lyric, “Who the fuck you callin’ a female rapper,” as she challenges and calls out patriarchal norms. Meanwhile, Felukah was one of the first women to enter the Egyptian rap scene, inspiring many others to do so as well, proclaiming their presence without apology and defying the constraints of prevalent shame culture.

Alongside their playlist curation, Felukah and Nadine El Roubi are gearing up for their own highly anticipated collaboration, ‘WAVY IN BROOKLYN,’ which will be dropping on March 8th, aka International Women’s Day.

Produced by Mo Stank, this boom bap bop is a celebration of diaspora sisterhood, seamlessly blending English-Arabic lyrics with old-school flows and neo-soul influences reminiscent of early Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu.

Get ready to ride their wave as Felukah and Nadine pay homage to Sudan, Cairo, and Brooklyn all in one track.
