Palestinian sensation Elyanna is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Having wrapped up her sold-out North American tour, the singer is now gearing up for the release of her debut album.
But whilst she’s been blazing a trail on the global stage, her sister has been rather busy behind it.
Tali Marjieh is arguably every sister’s dream. Not only does she style her sister Elyanna’s clothes, but she often handcrafts them too. In an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of Elyanna’s tour ‘fits, Tali Marjieh offers a glimpse into the process, deeming it an ‘Arab Futurist’ world where fierceness meets ethereal beauty.
Tali meticulously handcrafted four ensembles for her sold-out North American tour, transitioning boldly from angelic whites to full-on black, describing Elyanna as ‘our Mad Middle Eastern Angel🖤’.
With Elyanna’s highly anticipated debut album ‘WOLEDTO’ set to release on April 12th, Tali shares, “We decided to end the tour with a black look. It’s Elyanna new era, I feel that when the album drops they will understand the message behind it.”
Marjieh doesn’t just style Elyanna; she creates a visual contrast that amplifies Elyanna’s high-energy, fierce stage presence. Additionally, she brings Palestinian cultural fashion to the forefront by styling Elyanna and her dancers with elements like coins, henna, tatreez, and bandanas.
Reflecting on her journey, Marjieh says, “Upon moving to the U.S., I felt a void and a longing to bring our art and fashion to the West. Elyanna perfectly embodies this representation. It’s crucial for everyone to embrace their own culture and proudly represent it.”
