If you don’t know who Malala Yousafzai is, then be ready to be seriously amazed.

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist who was shot (and almost killed) for promoting the girls’ rights to an education. Aged 17, she became the youngest person to ever win the Nobel Peace Prize. This weekend she has celebrated graduating from Oxford University – snaps for Malala!!

She wrote on Twitter, “Hard to express my joy and gratitude right now as I completed my Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at Oxford, accompanied by a picture of her celebrating with cake and her family, and a picture of her after ‘trashing’ an Oxford tradition where students are covered with confetti after finishing their exams. She continued “I don’t know what’s ahead. For now, it will be Netflix, reading and sleep”.

Malala began studying at Oxford University in October 2017, after being formally accepted by it’s college Lady Margaret Hall, which is where Pakistan’s first female prime minister Benazir Bhutto also studied.

Celebrities across the world tweeted her congratulations, with Shakira writing “I’m so happy for you @Malala! This is an incredible achievement. I’m so excited to see what you do next but until then, enjoy some me (“you”) time!” and Priyanka Chopra commenting “Congratulations Malala!! That’s amazing”.

Congratulations Malala!!
