In the next 24 hours, restaurants, shopping stores, and flights will be closed for two weeks (with a possible renewal) to help avoid the spread of COVID-19. Urgent essentials’ stores such as supermarkets and pharmacies will be open for emergency needs.

The stay-home request is urging people to not visit families and hospitals except in urgent need, ordered the emergency authority NCEMA saying on state agency WAM, “the public are also urged to use their own family cars, with a maximum of three individuals per vehicle.”

Talking about flights the Civil Aviation Authority mentioned, “Additional examination and isolation arrangements will be taken later should flights resume, in order to ensure the safety of passengers, air crews and airport personnel and their protection from infection risks.”
#UAEGov suspended all inbound and outbound passenger flights and the transit of airline passengers in the UAE for two weeks. The decision, which is subject to re-assessment, will take effect in 48 hours.

The government is asking all to stay at home and only leave house if necessary to buy any of the urgent essentials such as food and medicine.Â
