A few days ago, stunning images of two giant rocks in the sky spotted in the UAE have circulated on the internet. We’re not exactly sure where this sighting may have been, but some people think it could be Al Qudra, in Dubai. If you didn’t see the “giant rocks”, here’s what the strange phenomenom looked like:

While there is no conclusive analysis of the strange episode, Instagram and Twitter users have thrown in their two cents to discuss the theories about this “double moon”.

The most popular explanation, which is called “Double Moon” and suggests that some planets can appear as big as the moon due to the stars’ alignment during these days. Some experts say that this alignments between planets viewable from Earth are extremely rare, occurring once every 800 years. 

It turns out the universe isn’t trying to pull pranks on us.
