A week ago Reebok revealed their Daily Fit DMX campaign with Karen Wazen – which we are obsessed with. And it’s clear that the sportswear brand is targeting women with their comfy AH Daily Fits to move more. Reebok wants to redefine the roles of women breaking boundaries in the region, by basically taking a walk in their shoes.
No, really. As the expression suggests, Reebok are celebrating inspiring female traile-blazers in the region and are (so-to-say) taking ‘real steps with real people.’ These ladies are making huge impacts in their own fields, which the brand backs, and their stories are even being told as they rock the Daily Fit DMX which works perfectly with their busy schedules and lifestyle.
One of the first females that Reebok highlights is Gift Solomon, the UAE’s first female delivery driver.

Coming from Nigeria, Gift’s position as a delivery driver isn’t one of convenience, but because she thought that if men could – why couldn’t she? She spends her days on the road delivering Freedom pizza across Dubai and says “there’s something about the right pair of shoes. They take you to the right places. It gives you a good start. Considering the nature of my job, it requires me to be always on my feet and always be on the move. DailyFit for me ticks all the boxes for the things I need!”
Another *real* Reebok woman is Dr. Mai Abdelsalam, an award-winning orthodontist.

This dental surgeon’s credentials are pretty *crazy,* what with having studied at Harvard and Cornell University. Her daily activities are best paired with Daily Fit DMX’s, especially as she spends her days on her feet, working on her patient’s smiles. Dr. Mai also has flat foot which can be difficult to deal with. “When I tried the shoes, not only are they soft and comfortable, it’s so light! As if you’re not wearing anything!” she expressed.
The third trail-blazer is Huda Al Matroushi, the first Emirati women mechanic.

Huda is a prime example of challenging gender stereotypes by working in an industry that is so male-dominated. The mechanic isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and is moving around working on cars for most of the day. She says that she “walks over five thousands steps. The softness of the DailyFit DMX not only help me to walk better but also to stay on my feet all day long.”
New colourways for the Daily Fit DMX (Dhs325 at stores like the Dubai Mall and the Galleria Al Maryah Island) have been released.
