This year has definitely not gone as planned, but television and films have always been there for us! With all the confusion surrounding events and quarantine, the annual grand event that is the Emmys will still take place. But, it’ll obviously be ‘socially distant.’ The nominations for the 2020 Emmys were announced yesterday by former Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones, and this year it’ll be hosted by Jimmel Kimmel on 20 September, via ABC. 

Last year’s Emmys saw a major takeover by the powerhouse series we all know and love, Game of Thrones. This year we can’t wait to see what’s in store – with Zendaya being nominated an Emmy for the first time ever, and Netflix breaking HBO’s record for the Most Emmy Nominations ever, it’s looking like a close competition for Hollywood!
