Ever since season 1 ended, fans have been urging for more of the dark drama series, that follows the life of a high schooler played by the queen herself, Zendaya.

We have been given two bridge episodes between season one and season two (the second episode comes out this weekend on HBO btw) but we want more! Luckily season 2 has been confirmed, with very little details but here is what we know so far.

HBO has officially renewed for season 2 and has announced it on their social media channels. Fans are ecstatic and so are we!

The cast has already started preproduction on the second season. The Euphoria Instagram account gave us a sneak peek into the behind the scenes of the cast prepping for the filming of season 2. The photo posted showed Zendaya and Angus Cloud reading through the official season 2 scripts! Ahhhh, so exciting!!

Unfortunately, we have no idea when season 2 will be released. According to Zendaya, they were supposed to start shooting on March 16th but three or four days before that, they were shut down (due to COVID-19). What we do know is that the first season took 8 months to shoot, so hopefully we get season 2 by the end of 2021.

We also have no idea what the plot of season 2 will be either. According to Jacob Elordi (who plays Nate Jacobs), he said he knows nothing about season 2, when they were making season 1, he knew nothing about that either – he just kinda goes for it! We will see the ramifications of Rue’s relapse and her struggle with addiction.

And for the ultimate heartbreak, unfortunately there won’t be too many seasons left. Since the characters are high schoolers, it can’t be one of those shows that goes on forever. The HBO president, Casey Bloys said “there’s a time limit.” So prepare yourselves for season 2, but be warned it MIGHT be the last season ever.
