As the sun sets, step into one of the city’s bustling traditional markets for shopping delights, delicious eats, and plenty of fun entertainment.

From February 17 to March 9, head down to the Grand Market in Deira (Old Municipality Street Square) for everything you need to kickstart your Ramadan preparations. With roots dating back to the 19th century, Deira’s markets hold a special place in Dubai’s history, and the Municipality is pulling out all the stops to shine a spotlight on these heritage gems during the Holy Month.

But wait, there’s more! Head over to the “grandmother’s supermarket,” affectionately known as Dukan Yadoo, where kiddos can indulge in sweet treats using tokens from the iconic ‘Floos bank’ – because who needs cash when you’ve got tradition, right? And as the sun sets, get ready for a feast fit for sultans with iftars and suhoors served up in style.

Perhaps the most popular Ramadan market in Dubai is The Ramadan District. There’s plenty of opportunity for great shopping, plus various entertainment to keep the entire family occupied. Plus, add a dash of cultural flair with henna artists and calligraphy maestros weaving their magic.
