Dubai winter is here, and It. Is. Magical. If you’re not making plans to explore the outdoors this winter, what are you even doing?
Recently, we’ve seen cool new cafes and restaurants in Dubai shoot up like mosquitoes on a hot summer day. They are everywhere.
However, Dubai is taking that to a whole new level by bringing a luxe twist to the traditional cafe experience: pop-up cafés in the desert. We’re lucky enough to get the best of all worlds here.
Imagine this: you’re surrounded by nothing but the soft whispers of the wind and the stunning desert backdrop, and suddenly, you stumble upon a chic Instagrammable cafe, serving everything from creamy lattes to amazing food…. It’s not heaven, it’s just Dubai.
Ready to trade your usual cafe run for an unforgettable adventure? If you’re keen on spending the winter outdoors under the stars (as you should be), you need to visit these 5 pop ups.
One degree, Dubai
Jumeirah’s popular coffee haven, One Degree Cafe, has made its way to the desert. Located near Margham, the pop up is giving us Arabic tribal mixed with a chic modern aesthetic, with their cozy cushioned seating and stunning carpets. They have daily entertainment, from fire shows to live music. PSA: it’s open every day from 3 pm to 1 am, for the night owls.
Location: One Degree Cafe, Margham Town, Dubai.
Timings: Mon-Thu, 3PM – 1AM. Fri-Sun, 3PM – 2AM
Hidden, Sharjah
Hidden appeared as a remote desert pop-up cafe, and quickly garnered attention. It has a picturesque art installation, which you’ve probably seen on most people’s Instagrams. The best part is that they regularly host different types of events like the recent Fenty Beauty event, so you have an excuse to visit. FYI their burgers are to die for.
Location: Hidden Cafe, near Al Lisaila town, Sharjah
Timings: Sun-Thu, 4PM – 12AM. Fri & Sat, 4PM – 1AM
Limited, Al Qudra
Limited is THE place to be, and we’re not the only ones that think so. HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid has been spotted visiting Limited multiple times. And who can blame him? Limited has a wide menu offering everything from burgers, sandwiches, fries, to drinks and desserts. It also frequently hosts activities like painting workshops, live music, and pop up markets. If you haven’t been to Limited yet, I hate to tell you but you are seriously missing out.

Tea Lounge Cafe, Sharjah
This cafe is perfect if you’re looking to relax while sipping on some Arabic tea. Located at Al Madam, you can spend time under the stars while enjoying traditional firewood tea along with a selection of snacks and shakes. It’s the ideal place to unwind. PS: Their date cake is the perfect thing to share on a date.
