Nowruz marks the beginning of the Persian New Year and the first day of Farvardin, the first month of the Iranian solar calendar. However, Nowruz is celebrated by many different folks aside from Persians, from Turks to Afghans and Pakistanis to Bengalis — it is a day of joy, blessings and new beginnings for all.
