It’s official, Cosmo ME has brought you one of the biggest (and most meaningful) events of the year and we’ve just announced the winners of Arab Woman Awards Next Gen. In case you didn’t know, these awards were launched in 2009 by ITP Media Group and have become a staple awards ceremony positively showcasing the Middle East’s female talent alongside UN Women.

For the first time *ever* in 2022, the Arab Woman Awards identified the next generation of the Middle East’s trailblazing women in their respective fields from the ages of 13 – 28 years old.

With Cosmo ME leading Arab Woman Awards Next Gen, we were also joined by exclusive tech and social media partner, TikTok. Who better than to showcase the future’s leading female stars in areas like arts, business, technology, and science.

Thirteen trophies were presented to the final winners selected by the Arab Woman Awards Board comprised of experts in their sectors and previous awardees. The members are as follows:

  • HH Sheikha Maytha bin Hasher Al Maktoum
  • Amani Aruri – Member of UN Women Gender Innovation
  • Emaan Abbass – Founder of KETISH
  • Soraya Bahgat – Social entrepreneur and women’s rights advocate

– Arab countries as per the UN Women regional office geographic coverage are Morocco,
Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain,
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Oman
– Achieved in their particular field in the past 12 months
– A positive role model for other Arab women so demonstrates integrity, high degree of
professionalism positively supports the advancement and growth of other women
