I’ve always been nervous about going places or doing activities alone. Recently I wanted to learn more about myself, explore my own company, and embrace the freedom of doing things on my own terms. So I decided to have a solo day out in Dubai with just me, myself, and I.

There is nothing more empowering than spending the day exactly how you want, with no compromises, no waiting around, just your vibe and your city. This is my journey on my solo day out in Dubai, and here’s exactly how it went down.

Good vibes starts with good breakfast

There’s nothing like a cozy, Insta worthy breakfast spot to kick off your day. I kicked off my day at 21grams Urban Balkan Bistro. I tried the Princess Crepe, fluffy crepes topped with luscious kajmak clotted cream, seasonal homemade jam, and caramelised walnuts and paired it with a fresh, zingy orange juice. Every bite was a delicious burst of flavour. This meal was perfect for me to start off my day feeling refreshed, energised, and totally ready to take on the day with all the good vibes.

Get your glow on VEO fitness super cute event

After breakfast, it was time to get my body moving and sweat it out (but make it fun and fabulous of course). VEO Fitness hosted the cutest wellness morning by teaming up with Dubai Active. I did a Spin class, Yoga, and played Padel all in one day! Whether you’re a fitness newbie or a seasoned pro, this was a morning that made me feel connected to myself and made me feel like the best version of myself and motivated me to do better. After the classes we received post-class healthy bites to keep our energy levels up.

A little matcha moment after the burn

After my sweat session at VEO Fitness, I headed over to Friends Avenue Café at Springs Souk for a much needed cooldown. Of course, I had to grab their iced matcha latte. It was the perfect post workout pick me up that was refreshing, lightly creamy, and just the right amount of earthy goodness. The café has this laid back, artsy vibe that made it ideal for a little solo reset. I sat back, sipped slowly, and soaked in the satisfaction of a morning well spent. Consider it a mini self-care moment in a cup.

Solo lunch date at Sushisamba

Next was brunch at Sushisamba, one of the most vibrant and beautiful restaurant that brilliantly fuses Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian flavours. If you have been to Sushi Samba, you will know that this is an unforgettable dining experience. Try the Peruvian Corn Salad and Prawn Gyoza, and thank me later.

The brunch menu is a total flavor fiesta, packed with fresh sushi rolls, zesty ceviches, and bold, refreshing cocktails that are truly chef’s kiss. I couldn’t resist ordering their signature ceviche, not just insta worthy but also tangy and bursting with flavour.

What really made the experience stand out even more was the amazing view of the Dubai Marina. The staff were so attentive and truly made dining solo feel so fun.

Spa heaven at Anantara

Next stop was ultimate pampering. I made my way to the iconic Anantara Spa at The Palm Dubai Resort. I booked the Anantara Signature Massage, and from start to finish, it was pure magic. Before the treatment began they made me wait at the relaxation room which overlooked a stunning pool view. I felt myself sink in the sun bed after my energetic morning ready to be pampered. Once the treatment began they started me off with a foot exfoliation followed by a deeply restorative massage using Phytomer’s marine based ingredients. Every knot of tension disappeared under the therapist’s expert hands, and by the end, I was floating in a blissed out, fully recharged state of calm.

The therapist was my angel in disguise and the overall experience was like a mini luxury vacation. What makes Anantara Spa truly special is how it blends Thai wellness traditions with ancient Arabian rituals. Whether you’re slipping into a steam room, floating in a whirlpool, or indulging in a traditional Hammam foam massage this is the kind of pampering that doesn’t just make you feel good, it realigns your energy.

A glam boost at NStyle beauty lounge

After feeling relaxed and renewed, I wasn’t done treating myself just yet. When you look good, you feel even better. So, I made my way to NStyle Beauty Lounge for the ultimate finishing touch: a fresh set of nails to match my glow.

I decided to go for a classic French manicure, but don’t worry, you could also go wild with some cute nail art. Whether you’re into soft neutrals, bold brights, or a little sparkle, NStyle delivers flawless results every time. Trust me, there’s something magical about having your nails done post spa. Nails on fleek and a cute Instagram story.

Self care mode: Activated 🛁💖

Once I got home, it was time for the most sacred part of the day, my self care shower ritual. I lit my new Spa Ceylon candle (an incredible wellness brand from Sri Lanka now in UAE!). It brought a calming aroma that instantly transformed my bathroom into my personal spa sanctuary. I queued up my favorite playlist (Taylor Swift obviously), and stepped into a long, relaxing shower.

I lathered up with my all time favourite Beirut Nights Body Sugar Scrub, which is pure joy in a bottle and left my skin soft, nourished, and smelling divine.

Popcorn, pajamas, and pure chill

To complete my perfect self-care day, I did what any glam girl would do: I turned my room into a cosy little movie den. I hit play on one of my all-time favourites, Honeymoonish, a rom-com that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious.

Snuggled up, surrounded by good scents, soft lighting, and that post spa glow, I felt completely at ease, content, empowered, and connected with myself.

Serotonin strolls & city sparkle at Bluewaters

After my cosy movie night, I was very relaxed but also low-key buzzing with energy. I couldn’t resist stepping out for a little fresh air. I threw on something a little more chic and made my way to Bluewaters, my forever favourite spot in the city. The breeze was light and cool as I wandered through the softly lit walkways, passing glowing cafés and beautiful stores.

It was a peaceful stroll, as I walked around I felt so blessed and satisfied with the magical day I had. Sometimes, the best way to end a beautiful day is with a quiet walk, good air, and the city softly sparkling around you.

Dinner with a side of vibes at Clay 🍣✨

Afterwards, I was craving a wholesome heart-filling meal. I headed straight to my all-time favourite restaurants in Bluewaters, Clay (yes I wasn’t done with my quota of sushi yet).

Clay is my go to when I want a dinner that feels a little elevated, a little indulgent, and totally satisfying. It’s a gorgeous Nikkei restaurant that fuses Japanese and Peruvian flavours, basically everything I love.

I grabbed an outdoor table (because, sea breeze = yes please) and let myself linger over a few of my favorite dishes. I started with their Leche de Tigre ceviche which was so fresh, followed by delicate maki rolls that were as pretty as they were flavourful. I made sure not to fill myself up too much just so I could have the grilled Wagyu which was just… wow. Each bite melted in my mouth, truly worth it.

Dining alone didn’t feel lonely (the one thing I feared so much) it felt luxe, peaceful, and deeply satisfying.

Honestly? The perfect closing chapter to a day that was all about me, my mood, my cravings, my pace. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
