Smartwatches have been around for a while now, some of them mostly help with fitness tracking, like daily (10k) steps, heart rate, but, hello, the launch of Fitbit Versa 3 changed the smartwatch game as it came lot of *really* cool features.
Ngl, Fitbits wouldn’t be classified as your typical “bang for the buck” as they can be super expensive (and low-key intimidating to those of us who aren’t marathoners), but when they released this device and I saw how amazing and practical, I must add, for my someone who works out-ish (like me) and maintains a healthy lifestyle-ish (also me), I jumped on the chance to test out the Fitbit Versa 3.

As you may already know, Fitbit is a wellness and health focus company, their top priority is helping customers manage their mental health, so I wasn’t surprised when the Mindfulness section of the Fitbit app provides you with tools to help you reduce stress and deepen your mindfulness practice. Here you can set a weekly mindfulness goal, track your daily mindful minutes and mindful days, and see trends as you build your mindfulness practice. Ngl, the Relax app comes through on some very stressful days – it helps me find moments of calm throughout the day with personalized, deep breathing sessions.
I was pretty damn clueless about other health stats like my heart rate and sleeping habits. Obviously, I went into the smartwatch experience only expecting to keep a log of my water intake, daily steps and calories, but I was shooketh when Versa 3 had a feature which uses a multi-path heart rate sensor to keep track of my heart rate. Long story short, I felt seen, maybe too seen for my liking, but it was all for the best.Â

Each week, I get a progress report email that tells me my average step count, my average resting heart rate, how many calories I burned daily, how many minutes I spent active, how many days I exercised, and how many hours I slept restfully.Â
Tbh, I’d recommend this little gem to anyone, it’s also a great Christmas gift to someone special. It legit does way *more* than I thought it could. Did I mention that it can receive texts, phone calls, and calendar notifications from your smartphone? It really is the perfect partner.
