Ready, steady, go. Registration for the 24th edition of the Dubai Marathon has officially opened.

It takes place on Sunday 12 January. You can run either the 4km, 10km or even a 42.195km marathon.

Remember it’s just you and the road and you can use the time to tune out everything around you and focus on breathing, running and having fun.

Registration for all three races can be done online only via dubaimarathon.org, where you can also check out the three race route maps and course videos.

Where is the starting point?

The Marathon will start at 6am (Elite) or 7am (Masses) and you will be running on the Umm Suqeim Road opposite the Madinat Jumeirah. You might catch a glimpse of the magnificent Burj Al Arab. The 10km Road Race starts at 8:15am on the same route. And last but not least the 4km Fun Run will start at 10:30am on the Umm Suqeim Road on Al Sufouh opposite the Madinat Jumeirah.

All races will finish at the Dubai Police Academy end of Umm Suqeim Road.

Prizes to win

For those running the marathon and the 10km Road Race: You will receive an official official race t/shirt, a finishers medal and you can download a finishers certificate.

For those running the 4km Fun Run: You will receive an official race t/shirt, a finishers medal and you can download a participation certificate.

Water Stations

Please don’t forget to stay hydrated during the marathon/race. We all know that water is the most important thing for staying energised and rocking the race. Information on where the water stations will be is below.

For the Marathon â€“ Water Stations will be provided every 2.5km from 5km to 40km and at the finish.

For the 10km Road Race â€“ Water Stations will be provided at the 3km, 8km point and the finish.

For the 4km Fun Run â€“ Water Stations will be provided at the finish.

Run Number Collection

Your Run Number must be collected prior to the race on these dates at Adidas in Dubai Mall: Wednesday 8th January from 3.00pm-10pm; Thursday 9th January from10am-10pm; Friday 10th January from 10am-10pm and Saturday 11th January from 10am-5pm.
