The synergy between luxury fashion brands and gaming has been a leading trend for the last couple of years, and Burberry has *been* paying attention. They’ve previously designed virtual character outfits for China’s biggest video game ‘Honour of Kings’ and launched their own online game ‘B surf’ to showcase its summer collection.

Fast forward a few years later, Burberry is now making its way into Esports and has partnered with the esports organization Gen.G, to create a new four-episode informational series focusing on women and the importance of gender equality as well as inclusivity in the gaming world.

This series will tackle several topics like “toxic online environments, stereotyping and under-representation,” which is a necessary conversation within the gaming world.

“Through our programming and scholarship, we hope to equip young leaders with the skills they need to succeed and achieve their aspirations,” Rachel Waller, the Global VP of Channel Innovation expressed.

The four episodes will be released every two weeks on the brand’s website, Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube page. Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow for the premiere of their first episode!
