If you’re craving something decadent, delicious and discerning, you’ll find it in The Artisan’s truffle pizza. Pairing generous portions of Tartufo black truffle with fontina and mozzarella cheese, this is the kinda dish that has starch lovers across the state coming back for more.
The dish is made from dough that has been fermented for 72 hours and served fresh out the wood oven. But the best part? It’s available on Deliveroo. Yep, as in, you can literally order it, like, right now.Â
But whilst you might go to The Artisan for the pizza, you’ll stay for, well, just about everything else. The restaurant boasts the most unreal line-up of authentic Italian dishes that are totally unrivalled on the F&B scene in Dubai.Â
What else must you simply not leave without ordering? Start with the polpo croccate – a five hour slow-cooked octopus, served with lemon flavoured potato cream green beans, Taggiasca olive sauce, purple potato confit and garlic flavored panko. Then move swiftly onto what is arguably the best calamari that I have ever had in my life. The deep fried squid is served with crispy vegetables and the most delicious chilli lime mayo that I’m making my life’s mission to find the recipe for.Â
For mains, I can’t order anything other than the mezzi paccheri al ragu’ di fassona: a pasta dish served with thyme flavored fassona beef ragu and Tuscan pecorino fondue.
The Waldorf DIFC-based restaurant is the perfect place to take out of town guests for an “only in Dubai” type of experience, where they’ll see a full cross-section of downtown denizens and get a great meal, to boot.
