Whether you enjoy the business plots, the clever and dark comedy, or even the morally ~flexible~ characters of the show, there’s a bit of everything for those looking to fill the Succession-shaped hole in their hearts after it ends on May 29.

Ugh. We know. We wish we could persuade Jesse Armstrong to continue writing episodes of the brilliant comedy that has taken the world by storm forever. The only thing offering us solace RN is the fact that there is a whole world of television to explore.

Succession

From “bad guys” you can’t help but root for to some of the most iconic moments in the history of television, here are 5 shows you can binge-watch if you like Succession.

Industry

Often described as a Succession-adjacent show, this HBO drama series follows a group of competitive graduates hoping to secure full-time jobs at Pierpoint, a London-based investment bank. Starring Marisa Abela, Myha’la Herrold, Harry Lawtey, Freya Mavor, Ken Leung, and more, Industry has all the jaw-dropping moments you could ask for in a television show and more.

The Sopranos

This American crime drama narrates the story of hardened mobster and family man Tony Soprano as he navigates through both sides of his life in New Jersey. Succession is often compared to The Sopranos — which is considered to be one of the most influential prestige television series of all time — because of its depiction of familial intricacies and shifting dynamics within a crumbling empire.

Veep

Not only is the British writer behind Succession a part of this political comedy extravaganza, but it is one of the most consistently nominated and awarded American comedy shows to date. Comedy powerhouse Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays the fragile, foul-mouthed, and ambitious Vice President of the United States Selina Meyer. What’s not to love?

The Righteous Gemstones

Led by creator Danny McBride and actors Edi Patterson, Adam Devine, and John Goodman, this HBO dark comedy delves into the lives of a popular televangelist family leading lavish lives of religion, crime, and conflict. The Righteous Gemstones‘ second season was released last year and there will be a third season coming out soon.

Arrested Development

We have another comedy on this list that has a lot in common with Succession. First is the premise itself which follows the wealthy and dysfunctional (sound similar?) Bluth family going through a shift in the power dynamic within the ranks — which is comprised of personalities that mirror the Roy siblings. Although the tone of this Jason Bateman-starring comedy is lighter than that of Succession, the set of characters and premise make it a must-watch for fans of the latter.
